Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the weather like?
Cyprus enjoys sunny days and fine temperatures almost every day of the year. Extremes of temperatures are rare, meaning Cyprus has something to offer every month of the year.
Summer: Summer in Cyprus stretches from mid-May to mid-October and you can expect high temperatures, cloudless skies and refreshing sea breezes. The days of September and October are still sunny and the water is warm enough for comfortable swimming.
Autumn: Towards the end of October the evenings do tend to get cooler, however in Cyprus even mid-November can feel like summer.
Winter: December and January are the months of Mediterranean winter, bringing the possibility of rain, but still an average of six hours of bright sunshine a day. Into early February there is occasional rain, and often snow in the Troodos - ideal for skiing!
Spring: The first orchids bloom in January in Cyprus, and by mid-February the countryside is already alive with fresh green meadows and almond trees in bloom. In March days can be cool but moderate. Early spring is a wonderful time to visit to Cyprus, with pleasant daytime temperatures and many of the ancient ruins framed by a carpet of red anemones and other wildflowers. During April and into the middle of May spring is in full force. If in summer Cyprus is the place to bask in the sun, then spring is the time to savour the natural beauty of the island in bloom.
For full weather details, please have a look at our Further Afield page under the Location tab. Here you will find max. and min. daily temperatures, mean daily hours of sunshine as well as sea temperatures for each month.

Does the pool area get crowded?
No, the pool area rarely gets crowded. The apartments are on a small complex and the pool is shared between just 6 apartments.  We have one sun lounger per guest, so there will always be one available for you.

Do I need a car?
No, a car will not be necessary during your stay. Our holiday Apartments are conveniently placed close to the beaches, restaurants and everything you will need to enjoy your self catering holiday. We are also able to arrange taxi transfers to and from the airport for you if you wish.

Are there restaurants nearby?
Yes, there are several good restaurants within 100m of the apartments including some of the best restaurants to be found in Cyprus such as the Almond Tree (serving Mediterranean Cuisine) and Chez Alex Fish Tavern, which are both mentioned in a number of guide books to Cyprus. Within 300m of the apartments you will find a host of restaurants offering Cypriot, Italian, Indian, Chinese and Japanese to name but a few. For further info on what's on offer, take a look at our guide to local restaurants on the Kato Paphos page under the Location tab.

Are the beaches sandy?
Yes, Kato Paphos enjoys a range of beautiful beaches and you are bound to find the right one for you! There are several blue-flag sandy beaches within 500m of the apartments including Paphos Municipal Beach and Alexander the Great Beach. The public Baths, whilst not sandy are also popular and offer additional facilities such as showers and changing rooms. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be hired at all of these beaches and there are cafes where you will be able to enjoy a drink or snack.
